Last week we read the story Not a Box! by Antoinette Portis. Then we used the boxes we collected to make what the children would collectively decided on making. We ended up with castles, cars, and a robot! It was fun watching their creativity and imagination at work. Have a great Spring Break!

I absolutely love the idea of using a story like 'Not a Box' to inspire creativity and imagination in children! It's amazing how something as simple as a cardboard box can become a castle, a car, or a robot in the hands of young minds. This hands-on approach to storytelling not only makes learning fun but also encourages problem-solving and teamwork. I hope the children continue to explore their creativity during Spring Break and have a fantastic time!

I remember reading "Not a Box" as a child, and it's wonderful to see that this timeless story is still inspiring young minds today. It's incredible how a simple cardboard box can become anything the imagination desires. Your class's creations of castles, cars, and a robot must have been so much fun to witness.
